Reflection of Glory

Reflection

I often think about the past and where it has brought me to,
Lessons I've learned and ways the Lord has pulled me through.
So much has happened, things I never would have thought.
It is just plain amazing the circumstances life has brought.

There are times I've run like the wind for and against the Lord.
Even so He's there, drawing me close, assuring me I'm adored.
When the final day passes for my life here on this land,
I wonder if I will see the man of God that He had planned.

I've been ready to give up due to all the times I've blundered.
Does the Lord still love me and care for me? I wondered.
I found Him there ready to give me a lift, restore my soul.
Love never changed. He helped me to aim again for the goal.

Looking into this mirror of the past I see more gain than loss.
I see Jesus touching my heart through His work on the cross.
Sealed and secure now and forever, I am safe in His hands.
Now I just need to focus on His good and perfect life plans.

Through everything He has been faithful and true--never failing
Of His love. Each day there has been a dimensional unveiling.
I know for certain that God will finish the work He has begun.
He has always been faithful, and the final battle is already won.
